Atlanta's Iconic Clermont Lounge Dancers Doing the Carwash

The gentrification of the ATL is in full-swing and it's putting the city's nastiest performers in a bind.

Times are tight for the dancers of Atlanta's oldest strip club and dive bar the Clermont Lounge. The historic Clermont Motor Hotel is being transformed by the magic of redevelopment into an upscale boutique hotel with a “destination restaurant” by year’s end.

In recent years, the club has become famous watering hole for hipster celebs and Star Wars fans looking for a real-life experience of Jabba's lair.

The club is closed during the construction leaving the local "talent" without pay for weeks.

B3 Bar & Grill, a local bar, is stepping up to help. They volunteered its space for a car wash Sunday so the dancers can make some cash.  The ladies plan on being back in their divey home by the first week of April when construction is complete.

 B3 Bar & Grill: 2523 Veterans Memorial Highway SW,  Sunday, Feb. 26th between 1 and 6 p.m.
