The article stems from the massage parlor shootings in Atlanta, where Asian women were targeted and lost their lives. One of the figures reported in the piece is searching “Asian massage” on Pornhub and finding over 6k videos with tens of millions of views.

Marica’s views of being Asian and working in adult counter what some people assume. She feels that being Asian has helped get her work and other opportunities.
