Erotic Heritage Museum Collecting Women’s March Placards For Future Exhibition
Freedom of sex and women’s rights go hand in hand, Las Vegas institution, Erotic Heritage Museum says.

Not everyone who wanted to attend the Women's March on Washington on January 21st could do so, but certainly women (and men) were showing their support across the country. And the clever slogans and eye-catching designs written across placards of protestors caught the attention of the public and media across the U.S. as much as the speeches. The Erotic Heritage Museum in Las Vegas is looking to collect as many of those placards as possible for a future exhibition.

“Some were poignant and scathing, while others were just plain fun,” EHM’s director Dr. Victoria Hartmann said of the signs and slogans she hopes to see come into the museum in the next few weeks. “We'd hateto see them all tossed in the trash or tucked away somewhere and forgotten. Instead, we'd like to collect them for a special exhibit we plan to host. Adding these placards to our permanent collection seems more than fitting for the museum.”

The EHM houses more than 24,000 square feet of permanent and featured exhibits designed to preserve the wonders of the erotic imagination as depicted through the artistic expression of acts of sex and love. Dedicated to the belief that sexual pleasure and fun are natural aspects of the human experience, that such pleasure must be made available to all, and that our individual sexuality belongs to each of us, something as essential as the Women’s Movement is, as Dr. Hartmann says: “A vital part of our Erotic Heritage-when we are empowered, we thrive.”

Participants are invited to drop off their Women's March signs between regular business hours at the Erotic Heritage Museum, 3275Sammy Davis Jr. Drive, from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and 11a.m.-10 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. http://www.eroticmuseumvegas.com/
